The Perks of Living in Porterville, California

July 20, 2020

Tucked into the San Joaquin Valley in Central California is the city of Porterville serving as the gateway to Sequoia National Park, home to our planet’s most massive trees, roughly only an hour away. For a weekend getaway, Porterville is under four hours to the Pacific Coast’s Avila Beach and only minutes away from the mountains. It has its own newspaper, The Porterville Recorder, and is home to more than 50,000 people.

The city’s historical past is illustrated throughout its borders with interesting landmarks including the Zalud House, an unrestored century home that can be toured, along with the Porterville Historical Museum that was founded in 1965 and housed in an old train depot that dates back to 1913. Porterville has ample recreational facilities including children’s parks, a skate park, a splash pad, a dog park and a park dedicated to riding dirt bikes and quads.

For all of the above reasons and more, we chose this charming area to build our community called Cambria in desirable northwest Porterville.

Located at 827 North Elderwood Street, these homes start at $246,900. Ranging from 1,297 to 1,597 square feet, they offer three bedrooms, two baths and an attached two-car garage. All the homes at Cambria are single story and have open floor plans and many options for beautiful upgrades and personalization including colors and style of flooring, countertops, cabinets, appliances and more.

The inviting exteriors features Mediterranean, Tuscan and traditionally styled designs enhanced by inviting carriage lights, stone accents, decorative shutters and outdoor living spaces.

To view the model homes at Cambria from San Joaquin Valley Homes, you can stop by Sunday and Monday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Or if you prefer we offer private in-person appointments and our virtual tours on our website.
