VISALIA, Calif. – October 20, 2026 –San Joaquin Valley Homes (SJV Homes), a trusted local homebuilder, is partnering with the City of Visalia Parks and Recreation Department to celebrate the groundbreaking of New South West Park on Friday, October 23, at 10 a.m. Located adjacent to SJV Homes’ Andalusia neighborhood, the new park marks an important milestone as Visalia begins construction on its first new neighborhood park in 12 years.
Located in southwest Visalia at 6125 W Howard Avenue, between Walnut and Tulare on Roeben Avenue, the four-acre park is expected to open in spring 2027. Designed for recreation, fitness and community gatherings, the park will feature a pump track, exercise equipment, playground, mini pitch court, cornhole, horseshoe pit, walking trail and expansive grass area. The groundbreaking ceremony will include remarks from representatives of the City of Visalia and San Joaquin Valley Homes, followed by light refreshments.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn more about Andalusia, SJV Homes’ nearby new home neighborhood within walking distance of the park. As part of the builder’s special “Home for the Holidays” promotion, Andalusia is currently offering huge closing cost incentives plus free solar on select move-in homes.* The promotion offers homebuyers an opportunity to settle into a new home in time to celebrate the holidays with family and friends.
“Andalusia brings together modern home designs, flexible floor plans, and an excellent location next to Visalia’s new South West Park, making it a wonderful choice for families and first-time buyers alike,” said Lana Fahoum, Sales Manager at SJV Homes.
Andalusia features energy-efficient, single-family homes with one- and two-story floor plans ranging from 1,735 to 2,855 square feet. Homes offer three to five bedrooms and two to 3.5 bathrooms, with select plans featuring flexible spaces for home offices or guest suites. Three exterior styles—Modern, Traditional Farmhouse and Cottage—give the neighborhood its distinctive character, complemented by details such as tile roofing, stone and brick veneer, covered porches and carriage lights. Three model homes are open daily for tours.
In addition to its proximity to the new park, Andalusia offers convenient access to schools, shopping, restaurants and Highway 198. Students will attend Veva Blunt Elementary School, La Joya Middle School and El Diamante High School, all part of the Visalia Unified School District.
