Have Hammer, Will Travel:

Steve Upchurch is the construction superintendent for the San Marino Subdivision being built by San Joaquin Valley Homes on the northwest corner of Visalia at Riggin and Shirk. He’s been working hard wrapping up the eight or nine homes in various stages of completion.
So last week Steve took a vacation to visit his daughter in Southern California. First, he helped his daughter and her friends finish up a construction project on their neighborhood church.
Then when watching television news, he saw the damage done to Texas by Tropical Storm Harvey. Steve jumped in his pickup truck and headed for Houston.
Steve spent the second half of his vacation helping clean up the aftermath of the hurricane damage. When a friend found out what Steve had done, he heaped praise on Steve’s unselfish acts of kindness. Steve simply said, “I’m glad I could help out.”
Sweet!
