Local Homebuilder Presents Check for $1,500 to Lucky Homebuyer at Chelsea West in Visalia, Calif. 



VISALIA, Calif. – San Joaquin Valley Homes (SJV Homes) has closed on its 1,500^th home after six years in the homebuilding business at Chelsea West, a single-story neighborhood in southeast Visalia. 

Dr. Tawny Louie, who recently started a four-year residency at Kaweah Delta Health Care District in Visalia, bought the 1,500^th home. SJV Homes, a Visalia-based homebuilder, presented her with a $1,500 check and a basket with gift cards for Lowes, Target and local restaurants, as well as locally grown nut products and information about things to do and see in Visalia and surrounding areas.

“I’m new here, and the people in the office know so much about Visalia,” she said. “I feel like that makes a difference.” 

Louie, who is originally from Los Angeles, moved to Visalia after earning her D.O. degree from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine and is now a resident physician specializing in anesthesiology. Because she works long hours at the hospital, Louie is thrilled her commute is less than 10 minutes. “I’m excited to come home every day,” she said. “And I’m getting a lot more sleep, which is so important.”
