Sales Remain Strong This Spring, Despite High Mortgage Rates

VISALIA, Calif. – May 31, 2023 –
San Joaquin Valley Homes (SJV Homes) has been recognized as one of the nation’s most active homebuilders, ranking No. 94 on the prestigious
Builder 100 List with 618 homes closed and annual revenue of $250 million in 2022.

This is the fifth year that Central Valley community homebuilder
San Joaquin Valley Homes has made a Builder magazine list, which is typically dominated by large private and public builders.

“We are extremely proud of our ongoing success,” said Joe Leal, co-founder for Visalia-based San Joaquin Valley Homes. “This reflects our commitment to building quality homes at a reasonable price for homebuyers in the Central Valley. When it comes to choosing a builder, homebuyers naturally lean towards local expertise, and we’ve been proudly serving the Valley for generations.”

Sales have been steady at the builder’s 15 new home communities in 2023, despite persistently high mortgage rates, ongoing inflation and fears of an impending recession that hang in the air.

“The past year was another stellar year for SJV Homes no matter what roadblocks were placed in front of them,” said Don Faye, principal of
Presidio Residential Capital, a San Diego-based real estate investment company that funds 100 percent of the projects and operations of SJV Homes. “We’re impressed with the results these homebuilding professionals have achieved – from those constructing the homes at the building sites to the tenacity of the sales team – and lists such as these prove their hard work has paid off.”

Each year, Builder magazine releases its ranking of the top 100 homebuilding companies in the United States based on how many homes were closed in the previous year. Those that rank 101 to 200 are recognized on the Builder Next 100 List.

Below are the rankings achieved by SJV Homes over the past five years.

2019: #103 on the Builder Next 100 list with 391 homes closed

2020: #94 on the Builder Top 100 list with 465 homes closed

2021: #110 on the Builder Next 100 list with 513 homes closed

2022: #118 on the Builder Next 100 list with 449 homes closed

2023: #94 on the Builder Top 100 list with 618 homes closed
